2020/21 Snowboard Previews - ISPO Munich
Share
The dust has settled on another epic ISPO trade show out here in Munich. Every year some of snowboarding's biggest brands descend on the Messe München (Munich's giant exhibition hall) for four days of snowboard hardware previews, parties and giant beers!
Take a look at some of our favourite 2020/21 snowboards from the show, before all those the free beers kicked in and things got a little fuzzy...

Nitro
A mainstay of the ISPO show, the Nitro Snowboards stand returns year upon year, packed full of awesome new shred sticks to feast your eyes upon. Not only that... but they also have a pretty generous free beer & snack policy. Thanks Nitro!
This year's line up is looking particularly tasty, with the ever popular Quiver Series taking on some rad new gradient colour schemes for 2020/21. Including everybody's favourite big pink rocket - the Quiver Canon, which is available in a whopping 203cm size for real big boy charging.
Check out the rest of the range in the videos below!

Ride
In contrast to the colour pop of many of the brands on show this year, the Ride snowboards collection for 2020/21 brings a bit of monochromatic darkness back into the fold.
The ever popular PIG collection is back again for 20/21 - with snub noses and asymetrical shapes for all mountain destruction.

K2
It was a little harder to find than in previous years, but after some searching we managed to track down K2's 20/21 snowboard collection on their main stand in the ski hall - hey I guess budgets are tight everywhere, exhibiting at ISPO is a pricey meatball!
Turns out it was worth the search, as K2 have a super interesting line up for the coming season. Our pick of the bunch? It has to be the Enjoyers Collection. With a whole range of shapes for your powder shredding pleasure and artwork inspired by psychedelic research, you can't go wrong! Plus this collection also features some seriously trippy base graphics (see below).

Jones Snowboards
If you've got a taste for big-mountain riding or just love yourself a powder weapon, this year's selection from Jones Snowboards will certainly get your juices flowing!
Feast your eyes on the glorious graphics below, on a range of incredible looking freeride shapes from Mr Jeremy Jones.
It's also worth noting the eco-credentials of these big mountain beauties, Jones Snowboards is a member of the 1% for the planet initiative and a big contributor to POW - Protect Our Winters.

Nidecker
DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS?!
These are the words that left my lips as soon as I set foot on the Nidecker stand and saw this cacophony of neon goodness. Simply put, I must have them all. Yes. Even the mono... ok maybe not the mono. But still, look at them!
The kings & queens of carving over at Nidecker (they're the folks behind all those lovely Slice & Dice edits) have fully thrown down the retro gauntlet for 2020/21 and have gone in on the colour with their Classics Series. And although these boards may look classic, they're packed full of the latest tech, perfect for slashing around on the mountain!

Arbor
After the neon assault to the senses over at Nidecker, a trip to the Arbor stand brought things back to a more natural equilibrium. With zen fully restored, I set about finding out a little more about the Arbor range.
Pretty much all the boards in Arbor's 2020/21 line up feature a beautiful woodgrain effect in the top sheet, showing off the naturally sustainable materials that they pride themselves upon using during construction.
Arbor's collection is produced using sustainably sourced wood and bamboo, assembled with Bio-Resin, and also features recylced steel edges and ABS sidewalls - perfect for the more environmentally conscious shredder.
Check out the collection in the video below.

The Bakery Snowboards
https://youtu.be/7idVBQWW5cA
Munich locals - The Bakery Snowboards - stepped it up for ISPO 2020, by bringing their actual manufacturing operation to the show!
This team of legends were busy throughout, glassing and pressing boards, giving the industry crowd a peak inside their operation.
If you're into keeping things local and handmade, check out their collection of boards. You can even create your own custom design should you so wish... but when they've got 'The Horst' with its Pizza top sheet and 'The Mary Jane' with its flamingo & unicorn dolphin combo, we don't think you'll be needing any other graphics at all!
YES
YES are certainly pushing the boat out for 2020/21. In amongst the usual crowd favourites of the legendary UnInc, the stubby magic of the 420, and the ever-versatile Basic, they've also added a bunch of boards which to be honest... look a liiiittle bit like spaceships.
The '2020' and the new 'AFH' feature coreless tech, which allows for reduced swing weight for freestyle fun on the former, and on the latter, creates possibly the longest swallow tail we've ever seen! This coupled with some curvy bottom contours create some crazy looking powder machines, with seemingly magical amounts of float.
Check out the rest of the YES range in our preview video below!

So that pretty much wraps it up for ISPO 2020. It was a blast catching up with everybody out here in Munich and there's definitely some very tasty looking snowboard hardware coming your way for the 2020/21 season!
Now... where have all those free beers gone?
